Breakfast/Brunch Ideas 05: Basic French Toast

A weekend favorite here... we love how moist and eggy this French Toast is.

It's so simple to make at home, and it will be a big hit with both, adults and kids. You can serve it with fresh fruits, drizzle your favorite maple syrup, chocolate sauce, dust cinnamon, or add ice cream on it. In fact, I love it just on its own!

Depending on what you add... this can be a healthy breakfast, or you can transform it into a dessert.

This recipe makes around 10 to 12 slices.

Break eggs in a bowl, add in milk, and gently beat them together. Heat a non-stick pan with some butter, dunk a slice of bread in the egg mixture you've prepared, and gently place the coated bread into the pan to cook on medium heat (I usually place two slices side by side in the pan, and add a thin slice of butter on top of the bread too while the bottom surface is cooking).

Flip the bread slice to cook the top surface, and once the bread looks golden brown... It's ready to get out of the pan.
Be sure to adjust the heat of your stove as you go along for the remaining slices to prevent them from getting burnt.

Happy trying, and remember to have fun in the kitchen!
