Bread Pudding

This is a simple bread pudding recipe that uses ingredients that are mostly already available at home for breakfast or simple cake baking. It's really quick to prepare too. 10 minutes tops to prep and slot in the oven!

This recipe serves around 8 -10 portions.

Begin by tearing bread slices into smaller pieces (about 1/4 their size) and set aside. In a big mixing bowl, add eggs, pure maple syrup, ground cinnamon, and pure vanilla extract. With a spatula or hand whisk, lightly mix the ingredients together. Add in the bread pieces and mix them well to coat the bread pieces with the egg mixture

In a non-stick pan, melt butter together with heavy cream using low heat. Stir, and pour over coated bread pieces. Mix all ingredients together.

Pour the bread mixture into a loaf pan, and sprinkle some raisins and slivered almonds. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 350°F for approximately 50 minutes. The bread pudding should have a light crusty top and sides, but moist inside.

Happy trying, and remember to have fun in the kitchen!
